WASHINGTON, Dec. 24 -- Sen. Margaret Wood Hassan, D-NH, has introduced the Reliable Artificial Intelligence Research Act, aimed at enhancing the safety and reliability of artificial intelligence (AI) systems through federally sponsored prize competitions. The new legislation mandates the Secretary of Homeland Security to initiate competitions focused on advancing the science of interpretability and adversarial robustness in AI products.
