WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 -- Sen. Deb Fischer, R-NE, has introduced a bill aimed at enhancing Tribal consultation and representation within the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008's food distribution program for Indian reservations. This legislation seeks to ensure that Indian Tribes and organizations have a significant role in the decision-making process regarding food programs that directly affect their communities.
