WASHINGTON, Nov. 15 -- The Council's Committee on Housing and Committee on Human Services is currently convening a joint roundtable titled "Housing Without the Holdup: Fixing the District's Voucher Bottlenecks."
According to DHS data, in Fiscal Year 2023 the average number of days from approval to lease-up was 421 days. In Fiscal Year 2024, the average was 364 days. The average in Fiscal Year 2025 was 205 days.
