WASHINGTON, Oct. 31 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation, through the Federal Railroad Administration, has unveiled a substantial funding opportunity for Amtrak, offering a total of $3.1 billion in supplemental fiscal year 2026 funds. This initiative is governed by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, enacted on November 15, 2021.
