WASHINGTON, Nov. 1 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation, through the Federal Railroad Administration, has launched a funding initiative aimed specifically at Amtrak. Under the FY26-Northeast Corridor IIJA Supplemental Cooperative Agreement, a total of $1,189 million is earmarked for the transportation provider to support various critical infrastructure projects.
