WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, through its Rural Utilities Service, has launched the Solid Waste Management Grant Program, offering up to $4 million in total funding for eligible organizations to support technical assistance and training in solid waste management initiatives. With a maximum award ceiling of $1 million, the program is expected to distribute approximately 40 grants aimed at reducing the solid waste stream and enhancing landfill operation practices.
