WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Sen. Steve Daines, R-MT, has introduced the Fair Access In Residency Act of 2025, aimed at promoting equitable treatment of both osteopathic and allopathic candidates in medical residency programs. The legislation requires hospitals with approved residency programs to submit comprehensive data regarding their applicants from these two medical school disciplines to the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
