WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Protecting First Responders from Secondary Exposure Act of 2025 (S. 180), introduced by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-IA, on January 22, 2025, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. This legislation aims to enhance the safety of first responders by expanding grant fund eligibility for training and resources designed to prevent secondary exposure to fentanyl and other hazardous substances.
