WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Advancing FASD Research (S. 139), Services and Prevention Act, introduced by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-AK, on January 16, 2025, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. This legislation aims to reauthorize and enhance programs under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) focused on fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD), along with establishing Centers for Excellence dedicated to FASD prevention and awareness.
