WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- End Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Providers Act (S. 125), introduced by Sen. Josh Hawley, R-MO, on January 16, 2025, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The legislation aims to eliminate federal funding for any organizations that perform abortions, provide referrals for abortions, or financially support entities that do so, with limited exceptions in cases of rape, incest, or life-threatening situations for the mother.
