WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Preventing the Recycling of Immigrants is Necessary for Trafficking Suspension Act (S. 53), introduced by Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, on January 9, 2025, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. This legislation aims to strengthen protections against human trafficking by imposing criminal penalties on individuals who exploit migrant children for unauthorized entry into the United States and enhancing identification measures for vulnerable minors.
