WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- The National Association of Social Workers submitted a public comment letter to the U.S. Department of Education regarding proposed changes to the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program. In its letter, NASW voiced strong support for increasing the presence of school-based mental health providers but expressed concerns over the current proposal that prioritizes school psychologists while excluding other essential professionals.
