WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- The Northeast Wholesalers Association, Portland, Maine, has issued a public comment letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) voicing strong opposition to a proposed rule that would mandate the manufacture and sale of only very low nicotine cigarettes and certain other combusted tobacco products.
