WASHINGTON, Aug. 25 -- FishWise, Santa Cruz, California, has submitted a public comment letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) urging the agency not to extend the compliance date for the Requirements for Additional Traceability Records for Certain Foods. The organization highlighted the importance of timely implementation of the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Section 204 to protect consumers and maintain competitive fairness in the industry.
