WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 -- Sen. Raphael G. Warnock, D-GA, has introduced the Catastrophic Specialty Hospital Act of 2025, aimed at amending the Medicare program to establish new payment rules specifically for certain catastrophic specialty hospitals. This legislation seeks to address the unique challenges faced by hospitals that provide specialized care for individuals with severe conditions, such as spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries.
