WASHINGTON, Aug. 12 -- Sen. Andy Kim, D-NJ, has introduced a bill aimed at honoring the Buffalo Soldier regiments, which were authorized by Congress in 1866 to serve in the United States Armed Forces. This legislation seeks to award a Congressional Gold Medal to these esteemed regiments in recognition of their dedicated service and significant contributions to the nation.
