WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, has introduced the District of Columbia Sister City Integrity Act, aimed at prohibiting the District of Columbia from establishing Sister City relationships with jurisdictions in foreign adversary countries. The bill is designed to safeguard national security by preventing local governments from engaging in diplomatic-like relationships with entities perceived as threats.
