WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, has introduced the Recovery of Stolen Checks Act, a legislative measure aimed at streamlining the process through which taxpayers can receive replacement tax refunds electronically. This bill seeks to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, facilitating direct deposit for certain taxpayers who have lost or had their refund checks stolen.
