WASHINGTON, July 17 -- The U.S. Department of Transportation, through the DOT-Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, has announced a grant opportunity aimed at improving safety in the commercial vehicle sector. The grant, titled Development of Fiscal Year 2026 Commercial Vehicle Safety Plans to Support National Safety Goals, will provide funding ranging from $472,000 to $52 million for initiatives that align with the nation's safety objectives.
