WASHINGTON, June 28 -- Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-MD, has introduced the El Salvador Accountability Act of 2025, aimed at imposing sanctions against the regime of President Nayib Bukele in El Salvador. This legislation responds to significant concerns over human rights violations, particularly in connection with the government's ongoing state of exception.
