WASHINGTON, June 25 -- Sen. Rick Scott, R-FL, has introduced a new bill aimed at increasing competition in the flood insurance market by allowing Write Your Own (WYO) companies to sell private flood insurance products. This legislation seeks to remove restrictions that currently limit these companies from offering private coverage alongside products provided by the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
