WASHINGTON, April 3 -- Sen. Cory A. Booker, D-NJ, has introduced the Combating International Islamophobia Act, aimed at establishing a dedicated Office within the Department of State to monitor and address acts of Islamophobia globally. This legislative initiative seeks to combat rising anti-Muslim sentiments and violence, enhancing U.S. efforts to promote religious tolerance and protect human rights abroad.
The bill comes in response to a notable increase in Islamophobic incidents . . .
