WASHINGTON, April 1 -- Sen. Margaret Wood Hassan, D-NH, has introduced the Disaster Management Costs Modernization Act aimed at enhancing the efficiency of disaster recovery efforts across the United States. The bill seeks to amend the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, specifically allowing states and Indian tribes to utilize excess recovery funds for management costs related to other recovery projects.
