WASHINGTON, March 31 -- Sen. Tim Scott, R-SC, has introduced the Sickle Cell Disease and Other Heritable Blood Disorders Research, Surveillance, Prevention, and Treatment Act of 2025, aimed at enhancing research and treatment for sickle cell disease and related blood disorders. The bill proposes to amend the Public Health Service Act by reauthorizing a demonstration program focused on treatment and prevention of complications from sickle cell disease.
