WASHINGTON, March 22 -- Sen. John Barrasso, R-WY, has introduced the Western Economic Security Today Act of 2025, known as the WEST Act, aimed at repealing a specific Bureau of Land Management (BLM) rule concerning conservation and landscape health. This legislative move seeks to eliminate the recent regulations established in April 2023 that the senator and fellow sponsors believe place undue restrictions on land use in the Western United States.
