WASHINGTON, March 21 -- The Department of the Interior, through its Interior Business Center, has announced a $2,004,000 grant opportunity aimed at bolstering Alaska Native and rural participation in federal fisheries monitoring.
The "Partners for Fisheries Monitoring (2026-2029)" program will fund positions such as biologists, social scientists, outreach coordinators, and educators within eligible organizations, fostering stronger local involvement in subsistence fishery managemen . . .
