WASHINGTON, March 13 -- The U.S. Geological Survey's Western Fisheries Research Center has announced a $228,000 funding opportunity under the Cooperative Agreement for affiliated Partner with Pacific Northwest Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) program.
This initiative seeks to advance research on the impacts of tire-derived chemicals in stormwater runoff, particularly focusing on the 6PPD-quinone, which has been linked to pre-spawn mortality in coho salmon.
