WASHINGTON, Dec. 19 -- Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, introduced the "COVID Spending Transparency Act" on Sept. 23, 2024. The text of the bill was released on Dec. 18.
S. 5140. A bill to extend by 5 years the term of the Special Inspector General for Pandemic Recovery; to the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs.
The bill is cosponsored by Sens. Margaret Wood Hassan, D-N.H., Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Mark R. Warner, D-Va.
