WASHINGTON, Dec. 5 -- Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., introduced the "Sickle Cell Disease Comprehensive Care Act" on Sept. 18, 2024. The text of the bill was released on Dec. 3.

S. 5097. A bill to amend title XIX of the Social Security Act to establish a demonstration project to improve outpatient clinical care for individuals with sickle cell disease; to the Committee on Finance.

The bill is cosponsored by Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., and Bill Cassidy, R-La.
