WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, introduced the "Improving Flood and Agricultural Forecasts Act" on July 31, 2024. The text of the bill was released on Sept. 29.

S. 4901. A bill to require the Under Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere to maintain the National Mesonet Program, and for other purposes; to the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

The bill is cosponsored by Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kan.
