WASHINGTON, May 26 -- Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., introduced the "Consensus in Sentencing Act" on April 16, 2024. The text of the bill was released on May 20.

S. 4135. A bill to require broad agreement for changes to sentencing law; to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The bill is cosponsored by Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, Ted Cruz, R-Texas, Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla.
