WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 -- Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., introduced the "Expanding Medical Education Act" on Nov. 1, 2023. The text of the bill was released on Dec. 4.

S. 3175. A bill to establish a grant program to support schools of medicine and schools of osteopathic medicine in underserved areas; to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

The bill is cosponsored by Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Calif.
