WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 -- The U.S. Department of Commerce announced that it expects to award up to 10 cooperative agreements for the improvement of coastal management programs.
The agency description of the cooperative agreement states: "The objective of Section 309 is to encourage States or Territories with federally approved coastal management programs (CMPs) to continually improve their programs. The intent of Projects of Special Merit (PSM) funding is to offer CMPs the opportunity . . .
