WASHINGTON, Sept. 28 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced that it expects to award grants for endangered species conservation through recovery land acquisition.
The agency description of the grant states: "First awarded in fiscal year (FY) 2001, Recovery Land Acquisition grants promote State and Federal cooperation in listed species conservation by leveraging funds to acquire specific parcels of land, through fee simple or conservation ea . . .
