WASHINGTON, April 29 -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that it expects to award up to 50 grants for lead risk assessment.
The agency description of the grant states: "The purpose of this NOFO is to develop a lead-based paint risk assessment demonstration grant program for public housing agencies to conduct lead hazard screens or lead-based paint risk assessments of units in which a family receiving assistance under section 8(o) of the U.S. Housing Act . . .
