$177.8 Million Funding Available for Technologies, Equipment That Assist in Responding to Crime

WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Community Oriented Policing Services announced that it expects to award up to 196 grants for technologies, equipment that assist in responding to and preventing crime.

The agency description of the grant states: "The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing by the nation's state, local, territorial . . .
