WASHINGTON, Feb. 24 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that it expects to award up to 100 grants for research and development to improve firefighters safety.
The agency description of the grant states: "The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Grants Programs Directorate is responsible for the implementation and administrations of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Programs . . .
