WASHINGTON, Aug. 17 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that it expects to award up to 50 grants for flood mitigation assistance.
The agency description of the grant states: "The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant program makes federal funds available to states, U.S. territories, federally recognized tribal governments, and local governments to reduce or eliminate the risk of repetitive flood damage to buildings and struct . . .
