WASHINGTON, June 25 -- The U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance announced that it expects to award up to 1,198 grants for programs to support crime victims.
The agency description of the grant states: "OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threat . . .
