WASHINGTON, May 26 -- Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., has introduced legislation (*) to "amend the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 to exclude the audits of privately held, non-custody brokers and dealers that are in good standing from certain requirements under title I of that act."
The bill was introduced on May 24 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
