WASHINGTON, May 26 -- Sen. Angus S. King Jr., I-Maine, has introduced legislation (S. 4291) to "amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to increase the standard charitable mileage rate for delivery of meals to elderly, disabled, frail, and at-risk individuals."
The bill was introduced on May 24 and was co-sponsored by Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
