WASHINGTON, May 26 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, has introduced legislation (S. 4289) to "prohibit an employer from terminating the coverage of an employee under a group health plan while the employer is engaged in a lock-out."
The bill was introduced on May 24 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Robert Casey Jr., D-Pa., Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Cory Booker, D-N.J. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions . . .
