WASHINGTON, May 26 -- The U.S. Department of Labor's Mine Safety and Health Administration announced that it expects to award up to 56 grants for health and safety training prevent fatalities, disease and injury from mining.
The agency description of the grant states: "One of the Secretary of Labor's goals for the U.S. workforce is to build a modern, inclusive workforce. One of the Department's strategic goals is to "Ensure Safe Jobs, Essential Protections, and Fair Workplaces." MSH . . .
