WASHINGTON, Dec. 2 -- Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., has introduced legislation (S. 3286) to "include a Federal defender as a nonvoting member of the U.S. Sentencing Commission."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 30 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill. It was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
