WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Education announced that it expects to award a grant for projects to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 in schools.
The agency description of the grant states: "The Project SAFE grant program provides grants to eligible LEAs to improve student safety and well-being by advancing strategies consistent with CDC guidance to reduce transmission of COVID-19 in schools."
