WASHINGTON, June 13 -- Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont., has introduced legislation (S. 2036) to amend the Packers and Stockyards Act, 1921, "to establish the Office of the Special Investigator for Competition Matters."
The bill was introduced on June 10 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Mike Rounds, R-S.D. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
