WASHINGTON, June 12 -- Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md., has introduced legislation (S. 2028) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to impose a surtax on high income individuals."
The bill was introduced on June 10 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Jeff Merkley, D-Ore. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
