WASHINGTON, June 12 -- Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., has introduced legislation (S. 2023) to "provide loan forgiveness for certain borrowers of Department of Agriculture direct farm loans."
The bill was introduced on June 10 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Jeff Merkley, D-Ore., Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Ron Wyden, D-Ore. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
