WASHINGTON, June 12 -- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii, has introduced legislation (S. 2017) to "increase the period of time during which an individual who has submitted a claim for benefits under chapter 81 of title 5, U.S. Code, may supply supporting documentation to the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs of the Department of Labor."
The bill was introduced on June 10. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
