WASHINGTON, June 12 -- Sen. Christopher Coons, D-Del., has introduced legislation (S. 2011) to "award a Congressional Gold Medal to honor the contributions of all those whose efforts led to the successful development of life saving vaccines to combat the novel coronavirus."
The bill was introduced on June 10 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
